General Laborer

Warehouse Worker

This role supports day-to-day warehouse operations by handling incoming products, accurately picking and staging orders, and loading trucks at the end of the week. You will spend part of your time operating a sit-down forklift and the rest performing general warehouse and material handling tasks to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general warehouse duties to support smooth daily operations.
• Receive incoming products earlier in the week, including unloading trucks and verifying shipments.
• Move received products to appropriate storage locations and update inventory as needed.
• Accurately pick and stage customer orders using RF scanners and other warehouse tools.
• Prepare outbound orders by packing, labeling, and organizing materials for shipment.
• Load trucks on Fridays, ensuring orders are complete, secure, and properly arranged.
• Operate a sit-down forklift approximately 2030% of the time to move, stack, and organize materials.
• Handle warehouse inventory, including counting, tracking, and maintaining stock accuracy.
• Perform material handling tasks such as lifting, moving, and placing products in designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse experience preferred, including exposure to shipping, receiving, picking, and packing.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift preferred.
• Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory tasks.
• Capability to perform general labor and material handling duties, including lifting and moving products.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and inventory handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
• Experience with warehouse inventory management is beneficial.
• Comfort working with various warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

You will work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, which may be subject to seasonal temperature changes. The role follows a regular Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will spend time both on a sit-down forklift and performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
