HR Administrator
Job Purpose
The HR Administrator is a key member of the administrative team, providing comprehensive human resources and administrative support across the organization. This role requires strong knowledge of HR practices and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the onboarding process for all hourly employees.
Maintain well‑organized documentation and ensure accurate recordkeeping across all HR functions.
Safeguard confidential employee information by maintaining both electronic and paper personnel files, ensuring timely filing, archiving, and data accuracy.
Support payroll‑related activities, including maintaining employee banking details, processing pay rate changes, and coordinating routine updates with payroll.
Monitor and track employee paid time off (PTO) accruals and balances.
Coordinate uniform orders and maintain tracking of employee uniform allocations.
Manage driver qualification files and oversee related compliance activities to ensure adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Assist hourly employees and their dependents with benefits‑related inquiries, resolving routine issues and escalating more complex matters as needed.
Respond to employment verification requests in a timely manner.
Support recruiting efforts, including conducting phone screenings and coordinating interviews.
Contribute to special projects and new initiatives as assigned.
Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees and stakeholders through professionalism, tact, and strong interpersonal skills.
