Position Title: Equipment Distribution Technician – Bronx, NY
Salary: $18.00 - $19.71/hr

Job Summary
The Equipment Distribution Technician works under the direction of the Equipment Distribution Director and ensures cleaning, transportation, and par levels of various medical devices. The technician performs basic operations verification of mobile medical devices. This role may travel regionally and has the potential to become a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
Responsibilities
Perform proper cleaning and infection control procedures
Transport patient care equipment and supplies within allotted time
Perform basic operations check on equipment before distribution
Deliver and set up required equipment
Return equipment to the Equipment Distribution department after pick up
Inspect equipment for proper preventative maintenance and deliver out-of-date items to Clinical Engineering
Complete all required trainings
Notify nursing staff of equipment pick-ups and deliveries
Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments and customers to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints
Flexibility to work augmented shifts based on unit needs and client contractual requirements
Display effective client service in accordance with client satisfaction survey protocol
Maintain an orderly and functional working environment; ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated and functional before use
Follow 5S methodology
Generate work orders for discovered broken equipment
Learn, understand, and comply with all applicable policies and procedures and updates
Maintain accurate records of work performed
Perform other duties as assigned that support the business operation
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of clean room or sterile environment preferred
Experience
Minimum of two years of consistent employment in hospital or cleaning capacity
