We are hiring Software Engineer I to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.
What You Will Do
Assist in software integration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
Conduct basic software integration, system testing, and debugging in lab environments.
Execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
Participate in Agile software development practices and contribute to smaller tasks.
Analyze and resolve software/hardware interface issues during software integration.
Document integration processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and system traceability.
Learn and apply programming and scripting skills in a controlled setting.
Acquire domain specific knowledge in areas such as signal processing, resource management, hardware/software integration procedures, or electro-optical infrared systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with high‑level programming languages such as C++ or Java, or similar.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or bash, or similar.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Familiarity with Linux and the command line interface.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Rational Clearcase.

Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with build systems such as Cmake.
