
Production Supervisor

Your Role
As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing day‑to‑day operations for the packing, warehouse, and loading department, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety.

Your Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day operations for the department, ensuring direct reports follow policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety
Partner with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement effective safety policies and procedures
Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality, ensuring customer and food safety requirements meet specifications, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Participate and lead process improvement initiatives including Centerlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely)
Partner with local plant management to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, cost of maintenance, monthly review of compliance audits, etc.)
Develop plans for future production workforce needs and participate in the selection of employees
Take counts, correct discrepancies, and provide corrective actions or investigations for inventory count variances
Engage workforce, provide recognition, and coach hourly members
Essential Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED equivalent with 4 years of production experience
Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)
Demonstrated understanding of safety hazards and protocols
Understanding of computerized maintenance management systems
Good To Have
Knowledge of maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting packaging equipment and conveying systems
Training in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processes
Reliability‑centered maintenance training around packaging equipment best practices
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (e.g., safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection, respirator, harness)
Work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Operate in a machine‑paced continuous process that runs 24/7 with conditions such as hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor environments, dusty environment (including Wheat/Gluten allergens), noisy environment, frequent motion, elevated places
Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance, and reach or lift at varying heights and levels
Frequently climb stairs and/or ladders
Occasionally lift, shovel, carry, push, or pull
Work in confined or elevated places
For respirator use, team members must be clean‑shaven so the mask can seal properly
Other Considerations
Read, interpret instruction and technology, and communicate effectively in English
Willing to work alongside the team including long days (days, evenings, nights) and weekends or holiday work
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
