Manufacturing Technician – Contract (Atlanta, GA)
We seek a contract Manufacturing Technician located in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves product performance testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment calibration, documentation, design and testing of prototypes and fixtures.
Responsibilities
Product performance testing as required
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on validated equipment
Ensure on‑time calibration of equipment within the equipment maintenance system and coordinate with offsite vendors as applicable
Maintain good documentation and investigation experience
Hands‑on equipment knowledge and troubleshooting experience
Design manufacturing fixtures or aids for use in manufacturing
Document, assemble and test precision prototypes and production fixturing
Assist with bench testing of assemblies and parts to ensure performance
Maintain top‑level engineering documentation
Perform design validation testing
Assist in writing protocols and reports
Gather information, make studies, compute calculations, and prepare original rough layouts and sketches to present to engineers and stakeholders
Qualifications
2‑year AA or equivalent certification minimum
3‑5+ years experience in the medical device industry (Class II or III experience helpful but not required)
Experience in a fast‑paced product production environment
SME proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) practices
Ability to perform detailed tolerance stack‑up analysis of precision assemblies
Familiarity with FDA documentation requirements
Ability to work with minimal supervision to create detailed designs efficiently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of engineering equipment
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Strong technical writing skills
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
