Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Supervisor with Industry Technical Expertise. The ideal candidate would have experience in project management, project planning, employee supervision, and training. Extensive knowledge of the electrical power distribution industry is preferred. Ability to work in a team environment providing coordination and support from the fabrication release, assembly, wiring, testing, and shipment of completed products. This is a full‑time position. Typical working hours will be Monday – Friday with hours ranging from 5:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Overtime will be available and/or mandatory at management’s discretion.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Schedules and manages assigned projects to production floor locations and personnel.
Reviews project requirements for design accuracy, purchased goods, assembly and fabrication requirements as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
Conduct design reviews and coordination of projects with plant manager, engineering, and sales.
Coordinates cross departmental jobs for plant productivity and prioritization.
Complete and facilitate design modifications, redlines and troubleshooting with production personnel and engineers.
Reviews incoming purchased and produced goods to the assembly bays for accuracy and acceptability.
Reviews completed projects for conformance with specifications, quality, and closeout requirements prior to shipping coordination.
Interviewing, onboarding, training and reviews with direct reports.
Participates and leads in company process improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience.
Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment required.
Experience in wiring Low Voltage gear.
Experience with an ERP system.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Ability to pass background and drug test prior to employment.
Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks.
Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
This position requires the ability to sit, and bend or stand for extended periods of time.
