
Electronics Test Technician

A very reputable medical device client of ours is seeking an Electronics Technician to support Research & Development efforts by executing electrical and electronic tests, setting up lab equipment, and troubleshooting electronic components and systems. This role works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to support product development, design verification, and regulatory compliance. The technician will begin with smaller sub-assembly testing and progress to full-system testing as experience and proficiency grow.

Key Responsibilities
Execute electrical and electronic tests in R&D laboratory environments according to written test protocols and procedures.
Set up, configure, and maintain electrical test equipment and test stations.
Perform design verification testing to validate product performance against specifications and regulatory requirements.
Conduct testing on assemblies such as PCBs and circuit boards, with progression to full system-level testing over time.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electronic components, prototypes, and existing products.
Collect, document, and report test data accurately and timely.
Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback to engineers based on test results, observations, and troubleshooting findings.
Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to support development activities and ensure products meet performance and compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Electrical or Electronics Technician.
Hands‑on experience with electronic test equipment, including function generators and power analyzers.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electronic system issues.
Ability to follow detailed test protocols and document results accurately.
Effective communication skills for working with engineering and cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail.
