Job Description
OVERVIEW
MusiGym Cultural Arts Center is seeking an Audio Engineering Instructor to lead structured, hands‑on training sessions in a professional recording studio environment. This role focuses on guiding members through recording, editing, mixing, and basic mastering using a defined curriculum and standardized workflow.
MusiGym operates as a membership‑based creative facility built around a clear pipeline:
Train
Create
Record
Release
Perform
Instructors work within a structured system, delivering sessions in a focused, booking‑based environment. All instructors are trained on MusiGym’s curriculum, hardware, and software prior to working with members.
DUTIES
Deliver structured audio engineering sessions using MusiGym’s curriculum
Guide members through vocal recording, session setup, and signal flow
Teach editing, comping, and session organization
Provide instruction on mixing fundamentals and basic mastering techniques
Work within a standardized workflow and training system
Support members during scheduled studio sessions
Assist members in completing recordings ready for release
Maintain a professional and organized studio environment
Provide direct feedback and mentorship to improve member outcomes
SKILLS
Minimum 2 years of audio engineering or recording experience
Strong understanding of recording, editing, and mixing workflows
Ability to teach and communicate clearly
Comfortable working with beginner to intermediate creators
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Experience with DAWs such as Logic Pro or similar
Familiarity with studio hardware and signal chain (interfaces, microphones, monitoring)
Prior teaching or mentorship experience
WORK ENVIROMENT
Studio‑based training environment
Scheduled sessions (no walk‑ins)
Small group or one‑on‑one instruction
Structured curriculum and workflow provided
Pay
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
