Position Description
Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in New Stanton, PA.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $29.44 per hour
Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
Sign On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Vocational or technical certification, or post‑secondary degree (preferred)
Basic tools, required
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work, etc.)
Two (2) years or more of combined classroom training and work experience (preferred)
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
Pass a Ryder drug test
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Perform standard vehicle and component maintenance, inspections, and repairs
Conduct preventive maintenance
Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computers when applicable
Identify root causes and perform requested repairs
Replace defective components as instructed
Carry out facility maintenance duties
Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints after task assignment
Use shop management system and electronic documentation
Work in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)
Perform additional support duties as required, including service island support
