Monday - Friday: 6:30am-5:00pm
Compensation:
$18-$22/hour, DOE
About the role
Silver Creek Materials (SCM) is a surface mining, large-scale composting, and recycling operation on the West Side of Fort Worth. SCM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Parts Runner. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing inventory and coordinating shipping and receiving of parts and materials.
What you'll do
Travel to local vendors to collect specific parts as directed by maintenance and procurement teams.
Verify and ensure the accuracy and quality of parts received from vendors.
Efficiently organize and store parts in the designated areas within the maintenance shop.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and parts movements.
Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies in parts orders.
Ensure the maintenance shop remains tidy and that all parts are stored according to safety standards.
Occasionally assist with emergency parts runs to support urgent maintenance needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience in a similar role, such as parts running, delivery, or inventory management, is preferred.
Ability to drive with a 16' flatbed trailer, able to back the trailer and secure loads to it.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for record keeping and inventory management.
