Main tasks and responsibilities

Development of internationally recognized research in the fields of landscape architecture and planning
Publication of peer-reviewed scientific articles and acquisition of research grants
Teaching and development of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels
Supervision of students at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral levels
Active participation in professional development work and in the development of education in landscape architecture and planning
Qualification requirements

Doctoral degree (PhD) in landscape architecture or a related field
Experience in university-level studio teaching and design practice is required
Experience in research and in securing research funding related to landscape architecture, planning, or related disciplines
Knowledge of the context and key challenges within landscape architecture in the Nordic countries
Teaching experience and an interest in diverse methods of knowledge dissemination within the field
A clear future vision for teaching methods, research, and the development of the discipline
Strong Collaboration Skills And Effective Communication Abilities
Proficiency in Icelandic is desirable
