Mechanical Repair Assembler
Job Purpose
Assemble Electro-Mechanical Assemblies per specifications and inspect complex electrical/electronic subassemblies or assemblies.
Nature Of Duties
Read, interpret, and follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions. Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products.
Assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies.
Use mechanical type assembly with hand tools and power tools.
Work with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts.
Identify product defects and report them to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records/logs.
Handle ESD sensitive materials and equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
0–1 year(s) of experience; training is provided.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery- and pneumatic-operated tools.
Ability to stand for long periods, safely lift up to 20 pounds independently, and 50 pounds with assistance.
Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.
Attention to detail.
Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Physical Demands
Required to sit and/or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally may need to exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
