Trusts and Estates Paralegal
Braverman Law Group, Boulder, CO, United States
Job Description
Job Description
**
Braverman Law Group, LLC, an estate planning law firm in Boulder, Colorado ** is looking for an experienced trusts and estates paralegal who wants a small and friendly team, lots of client contact, and a fast-paced position.
This is a new position.
**
What Do We Provide? **
A Lifestyle Firm: Weekend work is extremely rare. However, a few times a year, we will ask you to staff a marketing booth at an exhibit hall or help with a client event on a weekend.
A Small Firm: With you on board, there will be six of us, so you get to know your colleagues and never get lost in the big company shuffle.
Competitive Compensation: We stay competitive with marketplace compensation for similar positions in Boulder.
Superior Colleagues: We hire carefully. We choose people who are excellent at their jobs and passionate about providing the best service possible to our clients. They are motivated, dedicated, and energetic.
Dog-friendly office: you are welcome to bring your well-behaved, fully house-trained, socialized dog to the office with you.
**
What we will expect from you: **
The ability to quickly learn how to draft trusts, wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and funding documents with care and precision. You will assist with post-death trust administration, including preparing inventories, coordinating with financial institutions, drafting routine administration documents, and tracking required steps.
You are highly organized. You keep lists. You calendar deadlines. You follow through without being reminded.
You are comfortable working closely with a partner and supporting a wide variety of needs, including both substantive legal work and practical administrative tasks. You understand that keeping files moving, following up with institutions, organizing documents, and managing logistics are part of professional legal work, not beneath it.
You are steady and detail-oriented. You do not cut corners. You notice inconsistencies. You ask clarifying questions before problems grow.
You communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with clients. You understand that estate work, both planning and administration, often involves grief, family dynamics, and sensitive conversations.
You are comfortable working full-time in an in-office setting and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
This position is not a fit for someone seeking only drafting work, courtroom exposure, or a remote position.
Dress must be professional. You don’t have to wear suits, but dress pants or skirts with a dress shirt and a jacket or sweater is the type of outfit expected. A step above business casual.
We love to train our employes so be prepared to learn.
**
What you’ll be doing: **
Drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related estate planning documents using WealthCounsel software
Preparing trust funding documents, including deeds, assignment documents, and beneficiary designation confirmations
Assisting with post-death trust administration, including preparing asset inventories and distribution summaries
Drafting certifications of trust and routine administration correspondence
Coordinating with banks, custodians, financial advisors, and title companies
Tracking administration timelines, required steps, and follow-up tasks
Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical client files
Communicating professionally with clients regarding document execution, funding steps, and administrative follow-up
Assisting Bennett Braverman with a wide variety of substantive and administrative tasks to keep matters moving efficiently
Managing action items, tracking deadlines, and ensuring files do not stall
Maintaining and refining document templates and internal systems
Supporting probate matters as needed
