We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team in Tacoma, Washington.
Role Description
The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in managing personal injury cases from pre-litigation through trial. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple cases simultaneously while supporting attorneys in complex personal injury litigation.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Draft and prepare litigation documents including but not limited to, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and various pleadings
Manage case files and maintain organized litigation calendars and deadlines
Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert consultations
Collect, review, and organize medical records, billing records, and evidentiary materials
Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel
Assist in preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files
Conduct factual and records research to support case development
Maintain accurate case management data and document management systems
Support attorneys during mediations, arbitrations, and trial
Qualifications
3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Washington State court rules and litigation procedures
Experience with discovery management and medical record review
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and case management abilities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
Trial preparation experience preferred
