
Design Engineer

Overview
We are working with a confidential, U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in mission‑critical HVAC and precision air solutions to identify a Design Engineer for a Temp‑to‑Hire opportunity . This role will support a growing engineering team focused on automation, configured‑to‑order products, and lead‑time reduction during an exciting period of transition and growth.
This is a fully remote role , with long‑term potential for conversion based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CAD models for HVAC and related engineered products with a focus on automation and scalability
Apply advanced parametric modeling techniques to support automated and configured‑to‑order design workflows
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, production, and R&D to ensure designs are manufacturable and efficient
Support continuous improvement initiatives across design and manufacturing processes
Required Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro/E, or similar platforms
Solid understanding of parametric modeling and its application in automated design environments
Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing‑focused engineering environment
Demonstrated ability to apply CAD tools to real‑world production challenges
Preferred Experience
Exposure to automation initiatives within manufacturing or HVAC environments
Experience supporting engineering team transitions or knowledge transfer efforts
Background with mission‑critical or precision HVAC systems (or similar engineered products)
Competitive hourly rate during contract period (aligned to an $90K–$120K salary range upon conversion)
Remote work environment with 1 on‑site day per quarter
Opportunity to convert to a permanent role with full benefits upon hire
