
Maintenance Specialist - Electrical - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Company: Suntory Global Spirits (Beam Suntory). Location: Frankfort, KY.
Role Responsibilities
Overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant operations equipment, including high‑speed bottling equipment, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors and fans.
Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive/predictive maintenance requirements.
Locate and repair root causes of problems by observing devices in operation.
Fabricate parts using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, welders, saws or woodworking equipment.
Utilize blueprints, control system drawings and repair manuals.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all plant procedures, rules and regulations.
Follow all Safety, Food Safety, Quality, 5S and ISO guidelines, policies and procedures.
Contribute to team efforts with a positive attitude and work ethic.
Provide information to effectively communicate with supervisors, co‑workers and other key personnel by telephone, written form, e‑mail or in person.
Use the plant Computer Maintenance Management System (SAP) to add, retrieve and close out completed work orders.
Participate in training classes to improve troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement skills.
Apply root‑cause problem‑solving techniques (5 Why, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5S, data analysis).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in electrical skilled trades or engineering field. Minimum associate’s degree required; higher education preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance capacity within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude (to be tested by satisfactory score on STM and written tests).
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP).
Strong technical knowledge in maintenance crafts, mechanical inclination, understanding of tools and various equipment.
Good organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Positive attendance record.
Ability to work daily or weekend overtime as required; willing to work any shift.
Physical requirements: lift 40 lbs. continuously, 60 lbs. occasionally; use company equipment when lifting over 50 lbs.; climb a minimum of five flights of stairs; bend, stoop, work at heights; work in confined spaces with PPE; lift truck and aerial lift certification; acceptable visual acuity and depth perception.
Union environment exposure is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
