Mechanical Planner

Seeking an experienced nuclear professional to support the planning and implementation of nuclear projects from early development through execution. This role partners closely with engineering teams to review drawings, define scopes of work, generate work orders, order materials, and provide some technical support during project implementation. The ideal candidate brings a strong nuclear background, hands‑on equipment experience, and the ability to translate engineering details into executable project plans.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in project meetings to provide technical input and monitor project status
Support engineering teams throughout all phases of project development and implementation
Review nuclear mechanical drawings to support planning and execution
Develop and define clear scopes of work for nuclear implementation projects
Create and manage work order tasks within Asset Suite
Coordinate and order project materials as required
Provide technical support during the implementation phase, including participation in calls and answering field or execution‑related questions
Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment between engineering, planning, and execution team
Serve as a technical liaison between engineering and field execution teams, clarifying scope, drawings, and material requirements
Must Have:
5–7+ years of experience planning and supporting project implementation efforts
Extensive nuclear experience with a strong understanding of nuclear implementation projects
Proven ability to read, interpret, and fully understand nuclear mechanical drawings
Hands‑on experience with nuclear equipment
Includes technician work or other field‑based experience such as welding, electrical, tubing, or similar trades
Proficiency with Asset Suite software
Proficiency with Fusion software
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in team‑based environments
Compensation:
$50/hr to $62/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
