Overview

Job Title: Process Engineer (Parts)
Reports to: VP of Production
Location: San Marcos, Texas
We have one goal: to manufacture quality magnets! We are looking for exceptional individuals who want to learn, build, and lay a foundation for our company for the years to come.
The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and cost-effective operations. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, product specifications, and customer requirements, along with the ability to integrate process design with ERP systems and cost analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing

Developing, documenting, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to support production goals and quality standards
Applying strong knowledge of machining processes to optimize performance, reduce waste, and improve throughput
Leading DOE (Design of Experiments) to establish process windows and robustness, own process capability targets (Cp, Cpk)
Interpreting and translating customer requirements and product specifications into effective and compliant manufacturing processes
Evaluating, implementing, and supporting both existing and new machinery, ensuring proper integration into production workflows
Defining and maintaining process routing, bills of materials (BOMs), and standard work instructions within the ERP system
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment on product and process requirements
Leading process validation activities for new product introductions (NPI) and process changes
Updating and defining process FMEA (risk analysis) and control plans
Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
Driving digitization and automation where it improves consistency and cost
Analyzing production data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Monitoring and improving yield performance across production lines to achieve yield entitlement targets
Playing an integral role in determining product cost, including labor, material, and process-related inputs
Supporting troubleshooting efforts on the production floor and providing technical guidance to operations teams
Leading root cause analysis using 8D and 5 Why’s and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Has a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).
Has preferred 3–7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with machining processes.
Has a strong understanding of machining operations and equipment.
Has experience working with ERP systems (e.g., routing, BOMs, cost structures).
Can demonstrate ability to interpret customer specifications and translate them into process requirements.
Has experience with process development, validation, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Possesses excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Has experience in high-volume or advanced manufacturing environments.
Is familiar with cost modeling and product costing methodologies.
Has experience supporting new equipment installation and commissioning.

Physical Requirements

Able to move up to 20lbs.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Can wear PPE.
Is capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs
