Job Details
Reporting to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, you will lead and execute our national construction portfolio. This is a dedicated, hands‑on individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of every project, ensuring that our approach leads to efficiency and transparency for our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Directly manage the full construction lifecycle for ground‑up builds and major expansions across the U.S. with a network of trusted general contractors and other service providers.
Serve as the central hub for the real estate team, working in lockstep with Facilities, Equipment, Legal, and Real Estate Portfolio Management to ensure every project aligns with the company's broader asset strategy.
Partner closely with the Legal Department to review, negotiate, and finalize construction contracts, ensuring risk mitigation and favorable terms.
Develop and track rigorous project milestones to ensure all phases—permitting, foundation, dry‑in, and finishing—stay on schedule and within budget.
Use digital tools and reporting to create real‑time visibility for stakeholders, including Operations Managers and hospital leadership.
Ensure clinical requirements are met, including medical gas systems, lead‑shielding, specialized HVAC for odor control, and medical‑grade finishes.
Qualifications
Need to be located in or around St. Louis, MO.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
7–10+ years of commercial construction management, with a proven track record of managing ground‑up commercial projects across multiple states.
Must be comfortable and effective in a "boots‑on‑the‑ground" role, handling all administrative and project management tasks without junior support.
Advanced knowledge of construction documents, building development, and scheduling.
Intermediate knowledge of engineering and legal documents.
Proficiency in utilizing digital tools to track data, gain efficiencies, and create clear executive‑level reports.

Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of construction documents, building development, and scheduling. Intermediate knowledge of engineering and legal documents.

Physical & Travel Readiness
Able to travel 50% of the time and work in various outdoor elements (rain, heat, humidity) characteristic of active construction sites.
