We’re seeking Hydrovac Technicians to assist operators and other crew members with a variety of manual labor‑related tasks including the set up and pull down of rigs and equipment, setting up and operating hydrovac equipment, digging & excavating, pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and maintaining an orderly and safe job site.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full‑time, available to work overtime and weekends as needed
Travel
25% or less as needed or as requested by employee
Work Environment
Must be able to work in all weather conditions and noisy environments
Physical Demands
Be able to work extended hours and variable shifts
Be able to wear all required PPE
Be able to climb ladders and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights
Confined Space Entry may be required to accomplish tasks for some clients
Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Responsibilities
Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
Assist with proper disposal of debris and waste materials
Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
Load and unload construction materials
Comply with all DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations
Put together and take apart temporary structures
Ready to learn from on‑the‑job training when necessary
Perform site clean up
Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and pre‑employment physical
Pass a criminal background check and safety performance verification
Must be able to work 10‑12+ hour days including some weekends when needed
Must be 18 years or older
Must have Jack Hammer experience
Willingness to learn and use emerging technologies
Ability to work in a team environment
Written and verbal communication skills
Previous hydrovac experience
Preferred
Underground utility and/or construction experience
Heavy Equipment Operation experience
Previous trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience is a plus
