
Small Equipment Technician

Responsibilities
Perform basic service and repairs on a limited portfolio of handpieces and/or small equipment as assigned by the Supervisor
Diagnose and perform failure analysis using appropriate test equipment and tooling
Document device evaluation, service recommendations, parts required, and preventative maintenance feedback on service work orders
Repair and perform quality testing of products to established specifications as required
Provide technical support on a limited portfolio of products as required
Perform other tasks as assigned by lead or management
Specific Knowledge & Skills
Read, understand, and perform standard procedures and work instructions
Write routine reports and correspondence
Possess basic electrical and mechanical skills (desired)
Apply basic math and logic skills (required)
Use basic computer skills and relevant software (desired)
Solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables where limited standardization exists
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
General Skills & Competencies
Willingness to learn repair of more advanced products
Work successfully in a team environment
Work independently without direct supervision
Uphold company policies and standards
Minimum Work Experience
0–6 months professional work experience with proficiency in relevant mechanical trades preferred
Preferred Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Travel / Physical Demands
Travel – typically not required
Position typically works on site in a manufacturing environment with stable conditions and may be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a manufacturing environment
Employee routinely sits or stands for extended periods; uses hands to function and operates manual and non‑manual machinery; stoops, kneels, crouches, twists, reaches, stretches, and lifts up to 20 pounds
Employee must wear eye protection when using certain equipment or machinery
