Safety

Complete and document all product quality checks (appearance, packaging etc.).

Complete and document all food safety checks as required by the plant HACCP program.

Active participation in food safety investigations.

Plant Citizenship and Interactions (Grooves)

Initiate, organize, and actively participate in team meetings, committees and task forces.

Exceed expectation with regard to attendance and other guidelines.

Operational

Analyze and solve electro/mechanical problems of processing, packing, and auxiliary equipment, and assist manufacturing personnel on process related problems.

Execute assigned projects under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor.

Read and follow blue prints, drawings, and schematics.

Work on low and high voltage transformers, motors, motor starters, and switchgear.

Perform change over and support line start ups.

Perform established Preventative Maintenance and identify new PM activities as needed.

Perform maintenance building activities.

Maintain daily record of work performed on MP2 maintenance software.

Measurable Outcomes

Ensure that preventive maintenance tasks are not only completed on time but also lead to a significant reduction in equipment breakdowns and failures.

Preventive Maintenance Effectiveness

Equipment Uptime: Maximize equipment uptime and reliability, minimizing unscheduled downtime and production disruptions.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment issues, resulting in quicker issue resolution.

Response Time Improvement: Continuously reduce response times to maintenance requests, addressing critical issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.

Work Order Efficiency: Measure and optimize the efficiency of work order completion, including the time taken to complete tasks and the quality of work performed.

Safety Leadership: Act as a safety leader, ensuring that maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, leading safety training, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.

Work Environment
In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced.

The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is $33.67 per hour.
