
Bid Coordinator

The Fordy Group is partnering with a leading global consultancy to recruit a highly organised and detail-oriented
Bid Coordinator . This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative estimating and preconstruction team, supporting the delivery of high-quality bids and proposals across a diverse project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Track and manage incoming Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Set up and maintain organised project folders for all new opportunities
Distribute bid invitations to subcontractors and suppliers via BuildingConnected
Ensure sufficient trade and supplier coverage for each bid
Monitor and communicate bid coverage status to project leadership
Source and engage additional subcontractors and suppliers as needed
Conduct follow-ups with subcontractors and suppliers via phone and email
Upload and manage bid documents, drawings, specifications, and addenda across platforms such as SharePoint, Dropbox, and Procore
Review and interpret RFP requirements, ensuring proposals are compliant and well-structured
Coordinate and submit final proposals in line with client requirements and deadlines
Collaborate closely with the estimating and preconstruction teams
Maintain and update subcontractor databases, including onboarding new contacts
About You
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Professional and confident phone manner
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to interpret RFPs, RFIs, and prequalification documents
Experience with BuildingConnected and Procore (preferred)
Proficiency with Adobe/PDF tools
Willingness to complete relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10 within the first year)
Primarily office-based in McLean, VA, with occasional travel and site visits
Exposure to varied site conditions when required
Flexible working hours may be necessary depending on project deadlines
