About The Role
As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld's industrial disposal process. The hours for this position will be 1st shift from 5:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, or 3rd shift from 10:30 pm – 6:30 am.

Position Responsibilities

Operate and inspect forklifts, roll‑off trucks, yard trucks, excavators, loaders, and skid steers.

Manage the safe operation of the site’s equipment in the assigned areas.

Conduct daily motorized machinery inspections on the site’s equipment.

Complete additional duties as assigned by management, including plant operations.

Required Qualifications

Two years of experience in the operation of excavators and/or mechanical equipment.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to take appropriate safe action on their own initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands of the Role

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.

Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.

Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.

Qualification to wear a full‑face respirator.

Consistent work in various weather conditions.
