Position Summary
The Kith - Treats Shift Supervisor assists the Shop Manager in planning and directing the day-to-day operations of the shop. They lead and supervise the team to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Shift Supervisor is also expected to maintain store standards and conditions and foster a positive environment. They ensure customers’ needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. The Shift Supervisor ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
Guide processes and complete work based on management direction for functional areas within the store.
Act as the Manager on Duty for assigned shifts.
In the absence of the Shop Manager, communicate & partner with Retail Leadership to ensure complete alignment between the Retail and Treats teams.
Ensure the consistency of operational processes and execution.
Adhere to all Kith and Kith – Treats Policies and ensure compliance by all team members.
Oversee and participate in the cleaning and maintaining of industrial kitchen equipment.
Assist the management team to achieve performance goals and execute standard operating procedures.
Support the store management to ensure work tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Execute initiatives designed to drive customer satisfaction and business efficiencies.
Read communications and interact with store management to be knowledgeable of all current initiatives, priorities, and business metrics.
Act based upon the direction from the Shop Manager and collaborate effectively with employees.
Guide work activities during the day, inclusive of before and after normal store operating hours, when a manager may not be present.
Assist the restaurant’s management team with housekeeping responsibilities including dusting, sweeping, trash collection, and other typical food & beverage operations.
Special Projects / Tasks
Help audit overall cleanliness and hygienic standards of store front, food prep, and storage areas to ensure compliance with any Food Safety Laws & Requirements.
Assist in the execution of any in-store or off-site activations.
Requirements
Availability
Open & flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as business needs require.
Licenses / Certificates
Valid (Insert applicable F&B lic/cert and alcohol lic/cert if applicable) or equivalent is required.
Experience
1-2 years of management experience in a customer-facing role.
1+ years of Food & Beverage experience.
Skills / Abilities
Ability to perform business math.
Ability to multi-task.
Efficient communication.
Ability to lift and move 30 lbs.
Ability to perform standard retail operation tasks including bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
