We seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to lead high-end custom home builds and residential renovations from pre-construction handoff through project close-out. This is not a production-builder role.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a Project Manager with custom residential construction experience who can also step into construction management responsibilities when needed. In our environment, success means more than keeping projects moving. It means owning outcomes, maintaining client confidence, coordinating trade partners, and delivering projects with clarity, professionalism, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of custom residential construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, documentation, purchasing, execution, and close-out
Lead projects using Buildertrend or similar construction management software such as CoConstruct or Procore
Oversee project schedules, budgets, allowances, change orders, purchase orders, weekly logs, and job documentation
Coordinate with homeowners, architects, interior designers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams
Conduct weekly client meetings and maintain proactive communication to manage expectations and ensure a high-touch client experience
Partner closely with the Construction Manager to ensure jobsite cleanliness, safety, quality standards, accountability, and adherence to design intent
Lead and participate in weekly production meetings with Project Managers and Construction Managers
Manage purchasing and trade partner draw releases in alignment with company process
Anticipate and resolve issues early to protect schedule, budget, quality, and client trust
Support ongoing training and professional development while helping strengthen company processes and project delivery standards
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in residential construction
Strong background in custom homes, luxury homes, high-end residential construction, or major residential remodeling
Experience with Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or similar project management software
Solid understanding of construction scheduling, residential sequencing, budgeting, cost control, purchasing, change orders, and subcontractor coordination
Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and detailed documentation with a high level of accuracy
Professional and confident in client-facing communication
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small, high-accountability team
Ability to perform both project management and selected construction management functions as needed
