Our engineering services client is currently seeking
Lead Process Engineer
This role supports projects based out of our clients customers manufacturing facility office. This resource will be required to be onsite one to two days per week. Our client is also willing to consider candidates from outside of the immediate area of the customer site and will cover accommodations for required onsite days.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and support the process mechanical design effort on projects
Perform QAQC of engineering and design deliverables
Support business development and proposal activities which will include concepts, deliverables, effort hours, and estimated cost
Interface with clients and vendors on a regular basis
Work in a manufacturing environment to gather field data and conduct field investigations when required for project work
Generate equipment specifications and construction documents/packages
Review vendor submittals, lead design reviews, both internally and with vendor/client
Travel as required to client sites and vendors for work (up to 25%)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent technical experience
10+ years of process engineering experience
Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams of engineers, designers, contractors, construction managers, vendors, and OEM's
Required Previous Experience
Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Preparation of installation, bid, and construction packages
Process and utility system piping design
Paper making technology (towel and tissue)
Cost estimating (labor hours and capital cost estimates)
Construction support and commissioning experience
Preferred Qualifications and Experiences
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 2 years of start date
Paper making process operating knowledge (pulping through converting)
Familiarity with 3D project execution
Industrial HVAC - specifically room air balancing, dust control and process air collection
Pipe stress analysis
Thru air drying (TAD) or other advanced paper-making technologies
Familiarity with PHA's (Process Hazard Analysis)
Yankee drying systems including steam and condensate
Trim and broke handling
Chemical additive and material handling system design
