What You'll Do
Effectively monitor and inspect equipment for defects
Participate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
Perform additional duties as needed
Perform all facets of the repair safely while utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools at different heights or adverse conditions
Create work orders to purchase supplies & parts for repairs, track purchase requisitions when necessary
Able and willing to cross train as required
Attend extensive training regarding applicable equipment
Maintain good general housekeeping, keeping clean equipment and work area. Keep all tools in good working condition
Perform Predictive/preventive maintenance on a monthly cycled schedule, utilize safety software to ensure tasks are completed as scheduled
Work with other technicians on job orders & trouble shooting as needed
Specific knowledge of air brake systems & able to perform duties at top level required
Trouble shoot & Perform trailer electric system repairs for brakes & lighting required
Must be proficient in both Stick & Mig welding
Must have knowledge & prior experience mounting & dismounting tires on rims & mount / dismount wheels & tires on trailers
Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment including welders, minor truck, forklift repair and preventative maintenance
What You'll Need
Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
Must be proficient in both Stick & Mig welding
Ability to read & understand technical documents, schematics & service manuals & the ability to write clearly
Both mechanically and electrically inclined with experience working in both areas
Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
Follow OSHA, EPA, and all company safety policies, rules, and regulations
Minimum 4 years preferably in a heavy industrial environment
Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues
Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
Ability to work overtime when required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions
Valid drivers license with clean MVR
Valid CDL with clean MVR a plus
Specific knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics a plus
Your Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
