A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this position you’ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines. During a typical day, you will work at heights above 250 ft and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this site near Newman, Illinois, you will typically have shifts 5 days a week at 8‑10 hours a day, with a rotational on‑call. The team size here is 5 technicians and you will have some travel between a couple of site locations in the geographical IL area. This site is located a close distance to several outdoor activities including lakes, camping areas, mountain biking, and hiking trails. Situated just over 30 minutes from Champaign‑Urbana which offers the best of urban life in a friendly, smaller city with a world‑class university and a vibrant downtown. MORE ABOUT YOU

You will need a safety‑focused mindset & proven communication skills

Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks

You will bring a high school diploma or equivalent as well as 1‑2 years of wind experience OR 2‑3 years of transferrable mechanical, hydraulic, electrical work background OR a wind/industrial electrician certificate with said applicable background
