
Mechanical Technician

We are hiring a Mechanical Technician III for a full-time onsite role in Newton, NC. This position supports engineering projects focused on new equipment installation, line setup, debugging, and manufacturing capacity expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Support new equipment setup, startup, and line debugging in a manufacturing environment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Design and implement mechanical improvements to increase equipment performance and reliability
Work with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues
Manage spare parts and update engineering and operations documents
Support training for operations teams on equipment changes
Ensure safe work practices and help meet project timelines
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in equipment installation within manufacturing
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, and conveyors
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CAD
Project leadership or management experience
Mechanical certifications such as Millwright, HVAC, Welding, or OSHA are a plus
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Overtime and occasional off-hours work may be required
Location:
100% onsite in Newton, NC (local candidates only)
