What You Can Expect
As our Maintenance Supervisor, at ENGIE’s Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP), you will be responsible for providing the overall planning and supervision for installation, maintenance, alteration, replacement and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities. You will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate technical ability in the operation and maintenance of industrial systems
Plan, schedule, and provide overall supervision for maintenance work related to mechanical and electrical equipment and piping systems including, but not limited to, turbines, generators, pumps, motors, compressors, valves, electrical controls and high voltage circuit breakers
Initiate immediate repairs resulting from forced outages; communicate status to plant chain of command
Oversee and coordinate activities of the Mechanical Maintenance department in compliance with applicable labor agreements and personnel policies and procedures
Assist in planning, developing, and scheduling major maintenance activities including overhauls, replacements and installations
Coordinate maintenance activities with other station sections and support personnel
What You’ll Bring
A minimum high school diploma or equivalent, along with five (5) years of experience as a mechanical and/or maintenance supervisor
Additional Details
This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/may drive company vehicle
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
The position consists of 20% outdoor work, with exposure to weather conditions
In-depth knowledge of power generation equipment and technology; thorough knowledge of plant systems and process diagrams, electrical diagrams, and operating instructions
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Ability to use personal computer and calculator
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Maximo CMMS programs
Ability to use analytical judgment to plan and perform work within prescribed limitations
Ability to effectively communicate with co‑workers and take direction from others
Ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends
Ability to evaluate the need for tools, parts and materials for mechanical maintenance work
Ability to respond to emergency or unanticipated maintenance requirements outside work hours
Responsible for arranging on‑the‑job training of maintenance personnel according to established programs
Approve maintenance activities within Mechanical Maintenance
Knowledge of plant systems and process diagrams, electrical diagrams and operating instructions
Extensive knowledge in installation of mechanical and electrical equipment in generating and steam production stations
Knowledge of maintenance requirements for gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers and chiller equipment
Compensation
Salary Range: $122,400 – $157,200 USD annually. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan. Salary may vary by geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment or other factors.
