Main Responsibilities

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers

Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics

Performing preventative maintenance repairs, such as replacing or rotating tires, lubrication and replacement of components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles

Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching

Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Pay:

$25.25/Hour

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred

Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)

Valid driver’s license

Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools

Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

Ability to work well as part of a team and outside

Basic computer skills

Must understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or information established by Penske management

Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies; including correct tool selection, PPE, machine guarding, and safety practices

Regular, predictable, full attendance

Willingness to meet driving requirements, including a background check, drug screen, and DOT‑related checks; may require travel for training

Physical Requirements

Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods

Use hands to grasp, reach, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls

Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms

Work safely in all weather conditions

See and hear adequately to navigate the work environment

Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); ability to push/pull tires over 100 lbs
