Responsibilities
Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
Monitor ANDON occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
Through Process Confirmation, verify that the paint building equipment are running at rate, safely and producing quality vehicles
Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level
Communication and Recognition
Meet FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets
Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
Assist with paint launch activities (new equipment, body styles, etc.)
Coaching, training, and teaching of skilled trades on building equipment / process
Skilled Trades scheduling (vacation coverage, training & time keeping records)
Daily shift letter documentation / downtime reports / environmental requirements
Attend quality, productivity, and other related meetings
Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documentation
Work independently with limited supervision
Assign work to unionized hourly workforce and hold employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
Interact with Vendors for building support / part ordering
Display strong organizational and administrative skills
Multi‑task in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Display strong problem‑solving and conflict management skills
Work any shift, as well as rotate shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
High School Diploma
5+ years paint maintenance supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office
Automotive paint shop experience
Fanuc Robot programming, PLC / Control logic knowledge and maintenance experience
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Safety and Quality experience preferred
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Knowledge of constraint management principles
Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of paint automation equipment
Program new body style changes in all automation zones
