This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Scheduled days off will be determined by department needs, with special requests considered when possible. Occasional late stays will be required a few times each month.
Job Description
The Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting in various surgical procedures including ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, robotics, and total joints. Candidates should possess a well-rounded experience in these specialties to align with the unit’s caseload.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons and nurses during operations to ensure patient safety and surgical efficacy.
Manage surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile environment.
Float within the Perioperative facility as required by department needs.
Provide excellent patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CST in an ambulatory OR setting.
Current BLS certification required.
NBSTSA certification required.
Experience with a variety of surgical specialties is necessary; no first-time travelers accepted.
Candidates must be willing to float and adapt to the needs of the unit.
Radiation badge needs to be provided by the parent company.
Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered.
