What You’ll Do

Develop and execute strategies to identify, target, and win contracts with Houston-area local government agencies

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in city and municipal government

Identify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities while maintaining a robust sales pipeline

Lead proposal preparation and submission to meet government procurement requirements (RFPs/RFQs)

Manage contract negotiations and closings, ensuring favorable terms and compliance

Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain competitive positioning

Collaborate with internal teams for smooth contract-to-project transitions

Provide regular reports on business development activities, forecasts, and KPIs

Travel locally as needed to meet clients and attend industry events

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field)

5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in government contracting, construction, engineering, or infrastructure

Familiarity with local government procurement processes (RFPs/RFQs) is a plus

Experience supporting or collaborating on proposals or bids is desirable

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Proactive attitude with a desire to grow into senior business development responsibilities
