Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Banbury Operator
to support our rubber manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for mixing raw materials according to production schedules and ensuring consistent, high-quality compound output.
Key Responsibilities
Follow and execute the compound/mixing schedule for assigned production areas
Accurately weigh and add materials into batches using established procedures and
Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) systems
Operate and monitor Banbury mixing equipment to ensure proper temperature, timing, and consistency
Read, understand, and maintain product quality standards
Perform basic equipment operation and monitor multiple machines as needed
Provide coverage for utility roles during breaks as required
Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in assigned work areas in accordance with SOPs
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and forklift awareness
Support additional duties, overtime, or shift changes based on production needs
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of manufacturing or production experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
Ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly
Work in a loud manufacturing environment
Exposure to dust (including carbon black) and industrial materials
Must wear required PPE at all times (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, etc.)
