Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 2nd Shift to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 + shift differential per hour. Core hours are 2:30pm-11pm.

Responsibilities
Provide manufacturing expertise and support including planning, verifying, storing, organizing, and allocating materials.
Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position; ensure that all products and parts meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move through the production process and perform quality checks as instructed.
Operate and read hand‑held RF units to find, move and allocate material.
Move needed material based on production plan and material requests.
Kit parts and components; distribute to production lines with accuracy and maintain the integrity of configured kits.
Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer orders through daily monitoring of inventory, perform cycle counts and keep the inventory system up to date.
Load and unload trucks and inspect material for damage.
Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
Drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S and housekeeping duties.
Required (Basic) Qualifications
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

No relocation provided; candidates must reside within Raleigh, NC area (Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical limitation).
Preferred Qualifications
6 months experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
Experience using SAP or other warehouse management system.
Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications.
Position Criteria
Good judgment when handling material with a safety focus.
Willingness to work daily and/or weekends overtime, and flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods; repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to become certified in the operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.
