About The Role
All duties are performed in a work‑safe manner. Plant safety rules are followed and the individual works as a team member. Mobile operators are given primary responsibility for performing all plant and quarry tasks that require the use of heavy mobile equipment. The associated equipment of the limestone quarry and the plant equipment are considered equipment to be operated by mobile operators. This person must have experience working with a drag line.

What You’ll Accomplish

Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies to ensure environmental, health, and safety are the first priority of the business. Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist the department as needed to improve EHS performance and results.

Coordinate team activities with a salaried supervisor. Tasks and equipment used change per plant needs; therefore, individuals must possess a variety of task skills. Interact with production and maintenance personnel to reduce and eliminate production interruptions.

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For
Required Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Additional Requirements

Works well in a team and in a minimally supervised setting.

Willing to work holidays, weekends, various shifts and overtime as directed.

Demonstrated ability to operate mobile equipment.

Possesses basic computer skills.

Capable of walking through an aggregate plant, crossing obstacles, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting heavy or awkward parts, and wearing personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, fall protection, respirators, etc.). Exposure to hot/cold, dust, noise, and dark situations may occur. Work may be performed at great heights or in small confined spaces.

Basic math, reading, and writing skills required (English).

Haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment experience preferred.

Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Local 150 preferred.

Previous underground mining experience.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved personal protective equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
