What are we looking for
At Cosentino (www.cosentino.com) we are looking for a Warehouse Worker located in Ellenton, FL. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.
What you will do
Assist in our Natural Stone Slab Yard warehouses to increase efficiency and improve customer satisfaction. Your daily tasks include preparing merchandise, receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, loading and unloading trucks and containers, and organizing, staging and preparing finished products for shipping. As a Warehouse Worker you will be responsible for the effective distribution of Cosentino products.
To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. In this position you will work with Manufacturing, Production and Distribution fronts.
Load and unload product for truck, flatbed or container
Move product within the warehouse by using a forklift or overhead crane
Prepare Metal A‑frame return shipments
Repair/Rebuild wooden A‑frames for LTL shipments
Move waste from containers to dumpsters
Report issues for quality control purposes by reviewing all incoming and outgoing products for damages
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
Clean and maintain a safe working area ensuring that Health and Safety processes and procedures are met
Roles and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs; additional duties may be assigned without prior notice or consent.
What you need to succeed
Professional Experience
2+ years of warehouse experience.
2+ years of experience with warehouse equipment (crane, overhead crane, forklift, etc).
Previous industry experience.
High School Diploma/GED.
Skills
Ability to carry and lift up to 80 lbs.
Be able to stand for 8 hours or more a day.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
What we do offer
The starting hourly rate for this position is $18/hr. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
