PMA is currently seeking a project scheduler to support multiple clients in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area. The primary function is to review detailed contractor schedules and provide accurate, timely analysis of project status, including delay analysis and recovery options.
$85,040 - $105,380 a year
Position Responsibilities
Review Baseline and Progress construction schedules with limited supervision.
Understand the project and contract scope plans, and evaluate the contractor’s submitted schedule for its ability to meet milestones and deliverables.
Review critical paths and determine causes of delays and recovery options.
Evaluate schedule progress and trends and provide feedback to the internal management team.
Understand the schedule contract requirements and support timely implementation.
Review a contractor’s request for additional time, and per the contract requirements, prepare a Time Entitlement Analysis and recommendation.
Attend job meetings with Client and Contractor to discuss schedule status.
Ensure timely and collaborative communication with clients, including formal reporting and informal guidance.
Position Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2+ years of related experience required.
Must have demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Must have CPM and hands-on scheduling experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
Prior experience with forensic delay analysis is required.
A solid understanding of contract drawings and specifications.
Prior experience in transportation project construction is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to implement best practices in schedule management is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem‑solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
