We’re looking for a hands‑on, safety‑focused Field Service Technician / Roadside Applicator to join our team! In this role, you’ll perform vegetation management and herbicide application across a variety of sites, including roadways and rights‑of‑way.
This is an outdoor, field‑based position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, operating equipment, and making a visible impact every day.
What You’ll Do

Apply herbicides for vegetation management on roadways and rights‑of‑way
Operate trucks, spray equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
Perform traffic control (flagging, signage, cones) in accordance with DOT guidelines
Load, mix, and apply chemicals following all safety and environmental regulations
Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, applications, and daily production
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment
Prepare materials for application and ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals
Communicate with team members and supervisors on project progress and needs
Work outdoors in various environments including roadside conditions and uneven terrain
Travel to job sites (50–80%, including some overnight travel)
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of related field experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and terrain
Team‑oriented with basic tech skills
Field Service Technician I training or equivalent experience
Knowledge and experience performing basic equipment maintenance and small repairs
Nice to Have

Stormwater or BMP experience
Ability to obtain a TWIC card
Experience working with customers, inspectors, or right of way representatives on job sites
Physical Requirements

Lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet 8–11 hours per day
Work in all weather conditions and around water
Ability to wear required PPE and work around wildlife
