
Material Control Coordinator

Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA‑ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high‑resolution surveillance systems. Under close supervision with detailed instruction and regular review, this position is responsible for performing manual and clerical duties involved in processing incoming materials through inspection, stockroom and production. The role includes loading and unloading, counting, weighing, conveying materials, recording information and tracking, logging and verifying orders from numerous sources and departments, assisting with the coordination of outbound shipment of products, filling orders, issuing parts from stock, requisitioning stock and preparing stock‑use reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews inventory and work orders, ensuring traceability of material and/or parts.
Assists various departments to support departmental material requirements.
Monitors and restocks inventory levels housed on the shop floor to maintain appropriate levels.
Updates daily movement of parts, providing information to appropriate personnel regarding back‑order of critical scheduled material.
Delivers materials as required for designated production areas.
Reviews material requisitions issued to the stockroom to ensure proper allocation.
Conducts physical inventory counts, identifying and reporting shortages, overages or discrepancies on the shop floor.
Examines received items, verifying conformance to quality clauses and receiving procedures.
Transfers vendor shipping paperwork upon receipt of goods or after appropriate approval of parts, ensuring damages or excess goods are processed through quality assurance and/or materials supervision.
Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Observes all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations in all business conducted on behalf of the company.
Works safely in accordance with established procedures and practices.
Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; basic understanding of material control concepts and standards.
Customer focused with the ability to identify deviations, analyze issues, and interpret data.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain workflow within the unit.
Ability to respond to routine issues or situations.
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interface with internal employees and accurately document and report information.
Knowledge of computer operations, applications, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and to work extended hours as required.

Salary Range: $32,150 – $47,795
