Position Purpose
Reporting to the Controller, this position provides accounting and coordination support.
Position Responsibilities and Duties
Accounts Payable Coordination & Management
Responsible for collection and tracking of account payables including dispute resolution, statement reconciliation, purchase order matching, distribution, and approval.
Ensure entry of vendor bills into the electronic portal provided by off‑site accounting services organization.
Prepare and recommend weekly AP.
Accounts Receivable Management
Daily sales invoicing for all products (prime product and by‑product), including sending invoices to customers and resolving disputes.
Prepare daily Shipping Logs.
Prepare credits, debits, and returns.
Accounting Support
Post daily cash deposits and apply to customer account.
Daily bank and cash position reconciliation.
Administrative Support
Excellent internal/external customer service.
Perform executive and administrative support tasks.
Quality, Safety and Sanitation
Follow all personnel safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE and safe use of required tools and equipment.
Follow all food safety, quality assurance, GMPs, sanitation and general plant policies and procedures.
Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/food safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non‑conforming products are present.
Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors and managers.
Secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties at end of shift.
Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and record‑keeping requirements.
Provide open communication, work as a team player, and perform other tasks as necessary.
Prioritize and multitask while experiencing interruptions; thorough understanding of the accounts receivable process with high accuracy; excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, proven organizational skills, and ability to work within a team.
Qualifications
BS in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year in an accounting role required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
This position is in an office environment but requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness, and stamina for the length of an entire 8+ hour work shift each day. Occasional light lifting, frequent transition from seated to standing, and occasional stair climbing are physical demands. The position may require some activity outside of an office environment as needed.
