One of Insight Global's clients in the Marine Classification industry is seeking an experienced Creo CAD Modeler to support the creation and modification of 3D models used in client‑facing deliverables. This role is focused on Creo CAD modeling execution , not engineering design or analysis. The ideal candidate is a strong Creo user who can build models from scratch, modify existing models, and help the team transition from legacy tools to Creo.
This role works closely with internal teams and directly supports client deliverables, with modeling outputs handed off to other groups for visualization and presentation.
Key Responsibilities Create and modify 3D CAD models using Creo
Build models from scratch as well as update and maintain existing legacy models
Support the team’s transition from legacy CAD tools to Creo
Act as a Creo power user , helping train and support other team members who are new to the tool
Ensure models meet internal standards and are suitable for downstream systems and client delivery
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate and timely model outputs
Maintain organized model data; assist with basic data tracking or database interactions as needed
Required Qualifications Proven experience as a CAD Modeler
Strong hands‑on experience with Creo (production‑level use)
Ability to build clean, well‑structured models from limited inputs
Experience modifying and maintaining existing CAD models
Comfortable working in a client‑facing delivery environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow modeling standards
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications Exposure to naval, marine, offshore, or structural models (highly preferred but not required)
Background in Oil & Gas, industrial, or heavy equipment modeling
Basic understanding of naval or marine structures (e.g., hulls, decks, stiffened panels)
Experience supporting or training other CAD users
Familiarity with database concepts or basic SQL querying (plus, not required)
