Level II Technician: mid-level Automotive Technician. This technician may work independently or in a team environment.

Specific Responsibilities for All Technicians

Performs preventive maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.

Based upon certification levels, performs various repairs and maintenance which may include OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune‑ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc.

Maintains/repairs shop equipment.

Keeps shop area clean and tidy; performs work in accordance with safety standards; disposes of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.

Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records; may up‑fit new vehicles with the necessary equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities for Level II & III

Responsibilities as outlined above for all technicians.

Performs light to major repairs.

Performs advanced vehicle diagnostics.

Assures prompt repairs by interfacing and coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs.

Provides roadside assistance as needed.

Uses custom equipment when needed to complete moderate design/fabrication tasks including welding.

Assures maintenance of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, and onboard computer systems.

Direct interaction with customers and displays exceptional interpersonal skills while driving service center's performance with the highest integrity and trust.

Efficient diagnosis, repair, and replacement of general automotive parts and accessories.

Conduct a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs, including but not limited to brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, state safety and emissions testing, maintenance services, HVAC, major engine and hydraulics.

Compensation
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.02 to $33.08 per hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on the location and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
