Physical Therapist

In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with diverse physical impairments, injuries, and mobility challenges, helping them regain function and improve their quality of life. Working collaboratively with correctional officers and healthcare professionals, you will deliver essential care in a secure setting, contributing to the well-being of a diverse patient population with complex medical needs.
Required Skills:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree from an accredited program in Arizona
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Arizona
- Active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Compassionate, attentive, and culturally sensitive interaction with patients
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks such as CPR
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in correctional or similar secure environments
- Familiarity with mental health or substance abuse patient populations
- Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques
- Bilingual abilities or multilingual skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
- Prior experience working with diverse or underserved populations
- Knowledge of current research and advancements in physical therapy
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work in a controlled, secure environment with adherence to strict safety protocols
