Description
Cook Room Operator will be building and trouble‑shooting automated machines, sub‑assemblies and electrical components. As a Cook Room Operator, you must be able to act proactively to ensure seamless team operations and effective collaboration. Cook Room Operator will lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals. Cook Room Operator will plan, organize and recommend strategies, ensuring that the product is developed successfully, in accordance with all production specifications.
Requirements
Duties and responsibilities
Oversee all cooking room procedures
Performing machine alignments and final set‑ups.
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
Break down, clean and cover all electrical component to prepare for wash down
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Inspect parts and machines with precision and measuring tools
Check output to spot any machine‑related mistakes or flaws; correct as needed
Ensure product is properly mixed and prepared for distribution
Control and operate cook room equipment
Ability to stage cook room production for next step process
Understand and follow all SOP (Site Operating Procedures)
Ability to understand, read and complete all necessary paperwork, including FDA and USDA Documents
In compliance, always, regarding FDA and USDA regulations
Ensure final product is in preparation for departure to next room
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Core Responsibilities
Create and Inspire Team Atmosphere with an open communication culture
Set clear team goals and follow progress
Monitor team performance and report on metrics
Motivate team members
Discover training needs and provide coaching
Be open to feedback and engage in issue resolution at all levels
Training of employees and check for understanding

Qualifications
Good communication and training skills – the specific ability to read and write and understand instructions.
Must be able to read and write proficiently.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions accurately.
Capability to complete forms, documentation, and reports clearly and legibly.
Effective verbal communication skills to interact with team members.
Good basic math aptitude and ability to use scales and calculators.
Above average mechanical aptitude
Work requires attention to detail and following detailed instructions accurately.
Must be available to work overtime as required.
Must be able to demonstrate a good work history with at least one year of previous employment in food industry
Must be able to work safely in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Duties may repetitive in nature and requires regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, grip and reach, bending and twisting.
Standing on feet for long hours at a time; shifts up to 10 hours.
Work Environment
All required GMP and PPE for plant operational safety is expected to be used.
Position requires ability to communicate and work well with peers.
Regularly exposure to cold, hot and or humid conditions
Climate extremes found in all areas of plant operations
Frequently works near moving and mechanical parts
Possible exposure to fumes and air borne particles
Ability to work in close spaces
Loud noise environment to be expected
Subjected to changing of priorities, time pressures, constraints and high level of related stress
May be required to use hearing, eye and toe protection when working around moving machinery
