Overview
Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent full-time Material Handler in Eagan, Minnesota.
Warehouse positions pay weekly. This role involves handling furniture with state-of-the-art equipment in a safety-first environment.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Operate within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
Manage day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during core production hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid forklift operator certification.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible and able to adapt to a diverse work environment.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance.
Ability to perform work with minimal supervision and a high degree of initiative; high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Physical ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods; ability to work in health and safety compliant methods.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
