Refrigeration schedule: FT 2nd Shift

Pay: determined upon experience level.

Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Train in and use Self‑Contained Breathing Air Packs.

No beards allowed for safety reasons.

Perform mechanical refrigeration and electrical duties, including adjustments and repairs.

Grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment.

Monitor equipment and computer boards.

Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.

Work safely to ensure proper usage of ammonia and other equipment.

Work other shifts when necessary.

Understand and follow Safety Rules (Lockout/Tagout).

Comply with OSHA standards.

Work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Collaborate closely with other refrigeration and maintenance personnel to receive and pass along information.

Handle fragile devices that require precise attention.

Perform all other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Demonstrate good hand‑eye coordination.

Move equipment, machinery, etc., in excess of 50 pounds when needed.

Work on and inspect equipment, allowing for bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing.

Move freely throughout the plant (indoors and outdoors) over and around equipment, people and obstacles.

Tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and very wet to very dry.

Communicate and get along well with others.

Climb ladders and reach overhead.

Walk, stand or sit for the duration of the shift.

Operate and maintain refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Qualifications

At least 3 months of refrigeration maintenance experience, or enrollment in a maintenance/mechanical program may be considered in lieu of experience.

Good hand‑eye coordination and the ability to work with fragile devices.

Physical ability to move equipment exceeding 50 pounds, work overhead, climb ladders, and tolerate extreme temperatures.

Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
